As a Project Manager/Project Coordinator

you will be based at Björkegrenska Gården in Simrishamn. You will be part of the Public Environments unit within the Community Planning Department. We are 11 colleagues working with planning, project management, and orders for operations and investments in public environments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a project manager for new construction and renovation of streets, parks, municipal land facilities, and development areas, you will be responsible for the entire project process, including all tasks involved in your projects. This includes preparing tender documents, contract proposals, calculations, managing the project's finances, and construction management during project implementation, as well as handing over the completed facility to operations personnel.

As a project manager, you will present your projects to the Community Planning Committee, maintain media contacts, and receive calls from citizens. Your work will also include coordinating infrastructure projects, following up on the unit's financial project reporting, and providing procurement support for colleagues within the department and the unit manager. You will also help create structures and processes to facilitate planning, implementation, and follow-up. In the project group, which besides you consists of 4 project managers/project engineers and a street engineer, you will take on a coordinating role. You will follow up on the unit's work and report to the unit manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have at least a 3-year university degree as a civil, park, or construction engineer, or you have other education/experience that the employer considers equivalent.

You should have experience working with project management and possess knowledge of contract law, AMA, KMA, and procurement legislation.

It is advantageous if you have experience working on projects that involved remediation where you have handled contact with environmental officers.

You should be computer literate and have experience using some of the most common programs in the industry.

A valid driver's license (B category) is required.

You are good at collaborating and communicating, as you will often express yourself in both speech and writing.
